Spend a night on the legendary Battleship New Jersey, a floating museum on the Camden Waterfront
across from Center City Philadelphia. From the moment you walk up the gangway, you will
be greeted with a breathtaking display of the battleships size- nearly three football fields long and eleven
stories high. During your stay, you will develop an appreciation of her strength- an Iowa-class battleship built
to "keep floating and keep fighting". This is an overnight encampment with a merit badge program; scouts can pick
one of the following: American Heritage, Radio, First Aid, and Emergency Preparedness.
Depart Saturday morning and tour Historical Philly
Boarding USS NJ ~4-5pm on Saturday

Sunday Breakfast on board the battleship. Then scouts will work on Merit Badges: American Heritage,
Radio, First Aid, and Emergency Preparedness. Returning to Church of the Epiphany Sunday afternoon ~4:00 PM
Cost includes battleship stay, dinner and breakfast, and a merit badge. Note: Scouts must
bring $20 for lunch Saturday and Sunday.
Registration and deposit ($35.00) due by Oct, 6 remaing $30 due Nov 3
Preparing for merit badges: Scouts are encouraged to attend the November 20 campout at Camp Snyder
to work on requirements for badges offered during the Battleship Encampment!
